Mike Varela has been with Varela Real Estate for six years.  Mike joined Varela Real Estate as an expert in housing following a 30-year career in Local, State and Federal Government. Mike retired as Executive Director of the Santa Fe Civic Housing Authority and then became a Community Builder for the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. Mike has a passion about his community and has given over 6000 hours in the past 28 years to the success of the Santa Fe Fiesta, serving as president for four terms. Mike also served as President of the Santa Fe American Little League, founding of the St. Michael’s High School Foundation and is currently on the board of the Santa Fe Country Club serving as past president.
